Abstract
Improving the fertility of Ultisol soil is a major challenge in increasing oil palm
productivity. This study aims to analyze the effect of integrated fertilization—a combination
of inorganic and organic fertilizers—on the vegetative growth and productivity of oil palm
plants aged immature–mature. The research method used a randomized block design
(RBD) with four treatments: no fertilizer (control), recommended inorganic fertilizer,
organic fertilizer (empty fruit bunch compost), and integrated fertilization (inorganic +
organic). The results showed that integrated fertilization significantly increased plant
height, number of fronds, trunk diameter, and fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production compared
to other treatments. Soil nutrient content (N, P, K) and organic C also increased with
integrated treatment. In conclusion, integrated fertilization is an effective strategy to
increase oil palm productivity on Ultisol soil.
