Abstract

This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, analyzing scholarly articles, classroom practices, and conceptual frameworks that highlight the pedagogical value of digital storytelling. The findings indicate that digital storytelling promotes creative language production, enhances collaboration, increases student motivation, and supports authentic communication. It also cultivates essential 21st century skills including critical thinking, problem-solving, media literacy, and technological proficiency. Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure, time constraints, and teachers’ unfamiliarity with digital tools, digital storytelling remains a powerful method capable of transforming English learning environments. This paper further discusses implications for instructional design, provides classroom implementation models, and offers recommendations for future research to maximize the pedagogical benefits of digital storytelling in language education.
