Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the legal protection mechanisms for children who are victims of bullying in
schools, with reference to the provisions contained in the Child Protection Law. The approach
applied in this study is a legal-normative method, which involves a review of legal regulations, relevant
literature, and additional information from previous reports or studies. The findings reveal that schools
are legally obliged to provide physical, psychological, and social protection for students, although its
implementation in practice has not been fully effective due to limitations in monitoring mechanisms, a
lack of understanding among schools, and minimal enforcement of sanctions. This study concludes that
legal provisions to protect victims of bullying are actually clearly regulated in the Child Protection Law,
but their success greatly depends on implementation at the school level. The implications of this study
emphasize the need to strengthen internal school rules, improve the competence of educators, and
establish a more responsive reporting system to prevent bullying and ensure that victims receive
adequate protection.
