Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze and describe the quality of public services in the Hilialawa Village Government, Somambawa District, South Nias Regency. The research method was carried out qualitatively using a case study approach. Data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. Data processing by reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Validity of data by testing credibility through triangulation of sources and techniques. The research results show: (1) human resource capabilities: first, skilled in compiling and storing public service files. Second, have good knowledge about filing and administering services. Third, have a disciplined attitude at work, be friendly and fair in service. (2) facilities and infrastructure used: computers, handphones, filing cabinets, waiting room. (3) service procedures: starting from the head of the neighborhood association or residents, continued at the village office and other government offices (4) types of public services, namely processing police record certificates, certificates of educational and health incapacity, loss management, birth management, death, marriage arrangements, business domicile arrangements, business permit information arrangements, relocation arrangements, travel arrangements.
